Advising Fibra Storage on the placement of CBFIs
NHG advised Fibra Storage (BMV: STORAGE 18), the largest self-storage company in Mexico, on the placement of Certificados Bursátiles Fiduciarios Inmobiliarios (CBFIs) totaling MXN 286,919,910.20 Mexican Pesos.
Fibra Storage placed over 12 million CBFIs among its current certificate holders. Additionally over 6 million CBFIs were acquired through a private placement by entities affiliated with American investors Sam Zell and his long-time colleague Tom Heneghan, as new investors.
The placement of the CBFIs was made through a preemptive right granted to all current certificate holders in a similar manner as capital calls work in the Mexican securities market.
The remaining CBFIs were placed through a private offering made by Fibra Storage to strategic investors, with recognized experience in the self-storage industry.
