PPP Project for New Mazatlán Aquarium
NHG advised the Government of Sinaloa and the Municipality of Mazatlán for the structuring of the public private partnership project for the construction and operation of the New Mazatlán Aquarium, in the State of Sinaloa.
The Project is being developed through a combination of different public and private economic resources. This is the first self-sustainable project under the Public Private Partnership, considering that the invest re-payment mechanism of the Developer depends exclusively of the fees charged to the visitors of the New Mazatlán Aquarium. Our mandate included the elaboration of all bidding process documents (including the Project Management and Payment Trust Agreement), as well as legal advice during the all of the bidding process of the project until its award. Additionally, NHG is currently advising the Government of Sinaloa and the Municipality of Mazatlán in the negotiation of the Finance Support Agreement (Convenio de Apoyo Financiero).
Once the project was awarded, NHG advised the Government of Sinaloa and the Municipality of Mazatlán, in the negotiation and execution of the Public Private Partnership Service Agreement (Contrato prestación de servicios en la modalidad de Asociación Público Privada) and the Project Management and Payment Trust Agreement.
